Homework Week 20 Networking / Centers of Influence

- Successful networking is all about building relationships
- Go with the intention of giving and don't keep score
- You have to be consistent. It takes time for people to get to know you, like you, and trust you
- Pick one or two networking groups and commit to them. Don't spread yourself too thin
- Go where your prospects are
- BE a Center of Influence. Be the first person people think of when they have a problem and need help
- Who are the people that serve your clients, but provide different or complimentary services / products. Align with them as long as you share the same values
- Keep track of who your referral sources are. Thank them, keep them in the loop, treat them special
- Maintain a relationship with your Centers of Influence. Go for tea or lunch once a quarter whenever possible
- Whenever you are facing a challenge or opportunity ask yourself "Who do I know that could help me with this?"
- Participate in the call and ask questions
