Homework Week 31 Time Management
Time is what we want most, but what we use worst.
- William Penn
- Do your Weekly Success Planner every week. Preferably Friday or Sunday once you are done for the week and before you start the coming week
- Put appointments into your schedule for you to work on projects and stuff that will move your business forward not just hold the line
- Set a regular start time and end time to your business day
- Put personal care appointments into your schedule and protect them like you would a client appointment
- Learn to say NO. We only have so much time and energy. Every new thing you add takes away from something else
- What Quadrant are your activities in? You want to be spending as much time as possible in Quadrant II Important, but Not Urgent. These are the activities that you have to work on and get you the best results. Take the time from Quadrant IV (Not Important and Not Urgent) and Quadrant III (Not Important, but Urgent)
- Focus on the activities that only you can do. Delegate or eliminate as much as possible to free you up to shine
- Use a timer and treat tasks as a game / challenge. A few minutes a day add up quickly to either great results (if you are working in Quadrant II) or disappointment (if you are wasting time in Quadrant III or IV)
- Participate in the call and ask questions
For all of us that have to deal with procrastination this is a great book filled with practical ways to combat it.
